So here it is, my final day on HWC. I’d love to tell you I have something profound planned to take its place but that is just not the case. Do I have plans? Sure… but I’ve watched (and had) too many plans fall through to start announcing them now.

What I will say is that I have talked to some other creators and have some collaborations in the works. Both in comics and book illustration. What will come of them we will have to see. And who knows, maybe I’ll be pitched the next big thing tomorrow and I have no idea yet.

But for now, a little vacation.

And this sketch blog. I can’t NOT work AT ALL.

In news not related to the sketch above at all: dern announced my two weeks notice over at HWC last night. As of June 4th I will no longer be the artist of Hello with Cheese. (More on that later.)

Today’s sketch is a colored version of an illustration for the guy’s at Ravencon (where I’ll be this weekend). So if you happen to be in Richmond, VA swing by and say, “Hi.”

A quick bonus Tuesday post for you today. A few months back my buddy Ross from The System comic asked me to collaborate with him on a t-shirt… well… that be it. If you are so inclined you can head over to his site and pre-order it if you’d like. Go on, you know you want to.

So this morning I went to do some cartooning and I realized I left my sketchbook at home… Does that mean I have to, gasp, relax? Seriously though it is nice to have a morning where all I need to do before work is catch up on reading other people’s comics.

Speaking of other people’s comics… Ross over at The System asked for guest art renderings of his popular character, Jimmy the Murderdog. Mine was posted yesterday.

So here it is, the second reason this blog has been dormant for so long. That’s right, dern and I have decided to take Hello with Cheese to 5x a week. Today, being Tuesday is the first day of the new update schedule. Swing on by, wish us luck but most importantly tell your friends.
