Oooo Pretty

A couple quick things for today:

1. Ooo… pretty new theme.
The site finally has an original-ish look to it now. Thanks to my design and Peter’s coding no more standard out of the box word press theme. It still needs some tweaks but we’ll get around to it.

2. No new Frances and Friends tomorrow
There is only going to be one episode update for July and August. Due to my workload and the general down swing in net traffic over the summer Clickwheel and I have decided to only post one episode for the next two months. I’m not sure if it will be later this month or the second Tuesday of August. When I know, you’ll know.

Hope you all had a good holiday weekend (here in the states). Unfortunately, now it’s time to get back to work.

Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

Hey, it’s that time again. Episode 4 of Frances & Friends episode is now available at Clickwheel.net. This time around we welcome a brand new character to the mix.

Wish he could’ve gotten a better reception.

And, once again, here is the direct link to the downloadable PDF. I am nothing if not accommodating. I’m curious, how many of you use the PDF link and how many go over to ClickWheel?

BS Prep for Balticon

Hey all, the sketches are going to look a little different for the rest of the week while I get myself ready for Balticon this weekend.

Every time I go to a convention (which is infrequent) I’m asked for business cards which I haven’t bothered with. Usually, I just write down my info and draw a little sketch but I thought this time around I’d actually come prepared. I’ve gotten some work this way.

Maybe it’s time I take myself a little bit more seriously.

Each card (standard size) has my name and contact info at the bottom with the rest of the card being white space left for me to draw on. I plan on having a bunch already done (which is what I’ll be posting the rest of the week) but will keep a few blank ones for when the opportunity lends itself to taking the request of the person I’m giving it to.

What do you think?

ireport that irock

Seems a little smaller this time doesn’t it? Well, now you can see the bigger version over at ireport.com. iReport is a user generated news site associated with CNN. When David and I realized they were also looking for cartoonists we decided to give it a shot. Head on over and see the full-scale cartoon while we test it out. You can also rate the cartoon or leave a comment.

Thanks for the support.

Up the Wrong Tree

Yup, this was this morning’s sketch. Thought I would tighten it all up and make it a little avatar for you all.

The latest Frances & Friends episode is now available at Clickwheel.net. And guess who’s back? Go on over and check it out. Tell you friends. Please.

And always, here is a direct link to the downloadable PDF for those who prefer it that way.

Ravencon

For any of you out there that live in (or feel like traveling to) the Richmond, VA area I will be at Ravencon this coming weekend. You’ll be able to find me on, I believe, all of the webcomic panels. For any of you that go to Monacan High School and are in Ms. Riser’s 5th period Art Class (talk about a small demographic) I’ll be speaking to you all on Friday.

Guess I should really figure out what I’m going to say, huh?

Super Genius

Why did I draw Wile E. Coyote this morning? Really I had no choice. I started my sketch and after just a line or two I realized I had drawn his nose. After that I had no choice but to finish him off.

Also, I wanted to make a quick reference to my new work at Clickwheel today. I will continue to post links that direct you to the page and pdfs as new episodes are posted. If a direct link to the pdf doesn’t work for you please try again later (the problem will usually correct itself). However, if you continue having problems and are unable to download the cartoon please contact them.

Clickwheel is my distributor and outside of providing content to them I have little access to the workings of their site. If you are still having difficulty viewing my work through them you should not be. Please, let them know. A quick look at their forum and you will see that both Tim and Erich work very hard to keep their users happy.

Also, the more you let them know how badly you want to read Frances & Friends the better it looks for me.
