Urchin of Glass

Go read Glass Urchin.

Whoopsie… I’ve been pending all morning and afternoon doing things around the house I forgot to post today’s scribble. About the usual start to a Saturday project as I would expect.

Anyway, today’s scribble is my take on the character Ami from The Glass Urchin. I met the real life Ami last year at Balticon before she had started her interesting take on the journal comic. So go on give it a read and just in case you can’t tell, that is a hedgehog in a scarf, carrying a book bag, talking on a cell phone.

Yeah, you are already off checking out her stuff, aren’t you?

Fun Start to the Day

An ice scraper just doesn't cut it sometimes.

So yeah, this is how I started my day. Sure I may be exaggerating a little but only a little. Next in line, once I got to work, there was no coffee to be made but that is ok… because the coffee maker seems to be broken anyway. I was even going to settle for tea… nope. No hot water.

Today is just going to be fun, I can tell. I have a sense for these things.

Snow Day

Look, white stuff.

Due to ice and snow I have the day off, so… see yah.

the society of failed supervillians: the Enforcer

His other suit is cauliflower.

Wow, it has been a long time (like, September) since I inducted any new members to the Society of Failed Supervillians.

Meet Mr. Potato-Fists (real name withheld). No one knows why Mr. P-F decided to one day grace the Society with his presence or who he really is. All they know is that the brutal fighter is a tremendously valuable addition to any team. Unless of course he has to fight anyone, then he gets mashed to a pulp.

Flying Book Attack

I really wish I was making this one up.

After doing some furniture rearranging around the house I’ve had to put a couple book collections on the headboard of my bed to keep them out of the way. It actually looks kinda nice but unfortunately Coraline has taken to climbing the heights in the middle of the night. This isn’t usually a problem unless she decides to start digging at the books. You see I like these books, so when I hear this I reach up and remove her… most of the time.

This weekend Coraline learned how to use Usagii Yojimbo book #17 as projectile. Caught me square in the noggin. At least I went back to sleep fast enough.

PotW: Charlotte

012509-charlotte

Today’s Pic of the Week is a beautiful basset by the name of Charlotte. Turns out she was adopted from the same rescue group I got Frances from, BROOD.

Caption away.
