Not G’n'R to me

So I’m listening to the whole Chinese Democracy album on Guns n Roses’ MySpace page. While I applaud them streaming the album so I can decide whether or not I want it I have one major complaint… this is not Guns n Roses. No Slash no GnR. It just isn’t. No way, no how. Really just check it out for yourself (if you are into this sort of music). Maybe you’ll like it, me, not so much.

Not really related but if you are one of the folks over the last month that found me by searching “bryanprindivil.com” I’d love to know where this trend came from. Thanks.

Martial Mustelidae

This here is an amalgam of a couple influences over the past week. Yesterday I mentioned on Twitter that I wasn’t sure what I wanted to draw and my good friend Onezumi suggested ferrets. Well, I’ve never drawn a ferret (I don’t think) so I thought that was a good call. I did, however, decide not to draw the ferret as a dog hat seeing as I had done that pose with Frances and Coraline last week.

The martial aspect of this furry little guy I’ll put to two fronts. One being that Oni herself is and accomplished martial artist. The other reason being that I watched Kung Fu Panda Saturday night and LOVED IT! I did not really have high expectations for this fantastic animated feature but I was in stitches most of the night. I’m not sure if was more entertaining to me because I’ve been on both sides of the training coin or what but if you get the chance rent this movie.

Giggle Giggle

Today’s sketch is once again a product of the music I had playing. This morning I was listening to Lenka and she just puts of a great bubbly, happy vibe. Put me in what I imagined as a late 50s early 60s frame of mind. Anyway, that’s how you ended up with this. I’m pretty happy with the body language in this one. I think I’m getting more comfortable drawing female characters.

Tie Time

Yesterday I learned that the quickest way to throw my coworkers & clients off is by wearing a tie to work. I had a wake to go to after and instead of putting the tie on later I figured I’d just wear it for the day. Everyone seemed just a little concerned over what would cause me to actually put a fashionable noose around my throat. I found it quite amusing.

So I wore one again today.

Talk This Way

Last night The Wife and I settled down and watched the new Jeff Dunham Christmas special on Comedy Central. Yeah, I know… my love of this comedian out weighed my “it’s not even frickin’ Thanksgiving” gag reflex. But it was totally worth it. Some of the bits had me absolutely in stitches.

If you aren’t familiar with Jeff Dunham his shtick is ventriloquism with many very amusing puppets. Sketched above is Peanut. I first saw this act on either VH-1 or MTV back in the 90s and it makes me stop every time. Check him out, I think you’ll enjoy it.
