Attack of the Spitting Box

There are many things about becoming a cat person that are taking some getting used to. For the most part, ever since I adopted Frances she has slept through my morning routine and not really become active until I am starting to get dressed for work. Not so with Coraline. The newest feline member of the Prindiville clan wakes up ready to go as soon as my alarm goes off and then joins me in the bathroom.
Now once we are in the bathroom, which is off the master bedroom, I close the door so a certain someone that doesn’t have to wake up for 2 more hours can continue to sleep. Usually Coraline just stays off to the side or at my feet but for some reason not today. Today she got very upset at the large box that decided to eat me and then start attacking me with water.
That is, of course, until she won by waking up The Wife (or to her, The Mommy) by yeowling so the box spit me back out. Corline was very pleased with herself. The Wife… not so much pleased with me.

Heh heh–I was just confused–I thought she was lost downstairs somewhere, and I went looking for her, but no kitten!
It wasn’t until I came back upstairs that I thought to check with you…and there she was! Bravely trying to protect her daddy.

Don’t you just love when someone takes an active interest in your personal hygiene.

hahah…love the sketch, too.
The story is eerily similar to my mornings (Darren would be the cat, in our case)….

My cat (Miles)is also neurotic about the shower, but that’s because he likes to lick the condensation off the shower walls when I am finished. Cats are strange creatures, but always entertaining.

This morning’s experience reminded me of this posting. Hubby has been working nights so he was trying to get some sleep while I got ready this morning. This meant that I had to feed the cats and keep them in the bathroom with me while I got my shower. Fortunately, both kitties were well behaved and neither one decided to stare at me while I was in there.
