Lap is a Battlefield
I figured it has been a while since I gave an update on Frances’ condition and all is well. Over the past few weeks Frances has resumed her couch jumping abilities, partially, I’m sure, due to the little black thing that seems to go wherever she pleases. Jealousy is a fantastic motivator. Now when we settle in for an evening of television enjoyment one lap or another tends to have the two fuzzballs posturing for position.
The Wife is thrilled. Trust me.

Do you still have to carry her upstairs?
I know I am biased, but I feel Frances is entitled to the best place on the sofa next to you. After all, Frances has seniority.

Cats don’t recognize seniority. They recognize “me” and “inferior beings”.
