Sleep sleep go away

I received a cool request for a sketch last week but I am still a little too sleep deprived to make it happen this morning. Coraline let me get a little bit more sleep last night but wanted me to get up and play a good hour before my alarm was going to go off.
Anyone out there have a good just-got-a-pet story they feel like sharing?

This is why our cats are not allowed in the bedroom when we’re sleeping.

You mean you don’t want little paws on your head while you sleep?
Our room is the best place to keep her when we’re gone with her food and litter in the bathroom on the tile and then she can’t terrorize Frances, and we couldn’t think of another way to handle “bedtime”. If we left her downstairs, she’s a little vocal about that and she’s so little, we don’t want her hurting herself on the stairs trying to get up to us. Maybe we need a new plan. Or a lot less sleep until she grows out of kittenhood.

I’m curious about her name. How did you come up with it?

Coraline is the name of a YA book by one of our favorite authors, Neil Gaiman. Her attitude and imp-ish-ness seemed a perfect fit.

Unfortunately, I am feeling like your sketch for today…and I can’t blame it on my cat. He slept with one of the boys last night.

Substitute baby for cat and add a lot of estrogen to the main character - hello my life - except I don’t think my eyes really close all the way anymore.
LOVE this sketch!
