B’more Boogie On My Mi-e-i-e-ind

So, a couple days ago I mentioned Dear Pirate whose creator lives just down the road from me. Today I wanted to focus on some other Baltimore based folks I had the honor of seeing this weekend.
First up, the comic you can blame for influencing the grotesque looking fellow you see above. Marty and Nick are two cool B-more boys that do a rockin’ zombie comic set in Baltimore, Dead of Summer. If you are into that at all (and I know at least one of you is) you need to check it out.
Along for the ride with the DoS boys was the absolutely adorable Jamie Baldwin, creator of the comic Sudden Valley. I will admit that I have not yet made my way through the archives but just from what I have seen, I’m looking forward to making the time. Anyway, those of you that remember my limited palette run on Bassetville will understand why I dig her color style.
Last but certainly not least I got to meet Mark Wheatley of Insight Studios Group. If I try to go into why you should be impressed by that here, this is going to get long. So why don’t I send you to his site’s bio and you can look around. Though I will say make sure you check out Hammer of the Gods. I love it.
Tomorrow I’ll finish up with the name dropping so I can get back to my normal randomness.

I have to say, it’s an honor to have a zombie of our own now.
