Walk Without Rhythm

Oh yeah. I know there are a bunch of you out there that not only can tell me what I watched this weekend but also tell me what version.
That’s right, DUNE.
While by no means a loyal adaptation of the Frank Herbert novel, I love this movie. I think I’ve watched it a good 10-15 times. It is great for a rainy night no brainer. Which is exactly what I needed yesterday.
What movie do you have that you can watch over and over again?

Heh, I’ve not seen Dune, but I saw your picture and thought of Tremors.

WHAT? How did I marry you?
Your brother failed.
Points for Tremors, though.

This question makes me feel so old. My movie that I can watch over and over and over is:
The Great Escape with Steve McQueen!
Some of the James Bond movies with Sean Connery are high up on the list as well.

“The Day The Earth Stood Still”. One of the best movies ever, and I shudder to imagine the remake with Keanu Reeves as Klaatu. Nothing against Keanu, but Michael Rennie he ain’t.
No, I didn’t see it first-run, thank you very much. I saw it for the first time in 1976 at the first science fiction convention I ever attended, which led me to RoVaCon/Rising Star, which led to Fragile Gravity, which led to Bassetville…sheesh, I’m turning into James Burke!

I guess what I’m trying to say is that it was a very influential movie in my life…
