Wow.

It’s amazing what a little desktop request can do for exposure, and I sure am feeling exposed. Welcome all you visitors from Ugly Hill (and a BIG thank you to Paul for the link). I hope you stick around and give me a chance.

For what it’s worth what you see here is nothing but a humble sketchblog. I start every workday with a random sketch and I make no promises about theme or content.

Well, ok… not exactly NO promises because I have a promise for those of you who have been here before this week. That promise is I will get back to the randomness next week and stop harping on the launch of the new cartoon over on ClickWheel.net.

UPDATE: Those of you waiting to try out the iComic version of the new Frances & Friends cartoon the problem is FIXED!!! You can now download the entire episode and sync it to your ipod. Have fun.

With all the hoopla surrounding getting ready for the Frances & Friends launch I totally missed that I was coming up on the end of my first sketch pad. AND I’ve successfully done this whole sketch a (work)day thing for over 2 months.

I think that is a record for consistency of creation since I started this blog.

Ok, so I can’t really say that yesterday went off without a hitch. In fact there is still plenty of hitch fixing to go on today.

FYI: I you tried to download the iComic yesterday and thought, “This is it?” Well, no. That wasn’t it. Of 101 panels the iComic was only downloading 9-16 depending on the time of day. Clickwheel is working on fixing that problem today and we’ll hopefully have it fixed soon.

In the meantime, you can head over and download the PDF and get the entire episode.

Now in all the excitement over then new cartoon, don’t forget to show Leia some love by getting in on the PotW fun. So go on, leave her a caption.

Alright party people, I have just been informed that Frances & Friends page is now up and ready to go. So head on over to ClickWheel.net and check out the next stage in my cartooning career.

Frances & Friends is a “clickbook” animated feature which basically means you control the speed of the animation. You can either download the separate panels to your iPod and navigate through using the device’s clickwheel or download the PDF to your computer and make your way through using the up and down arrows on your keyboard.

And remember after the story’s end keep clicking to see the final stage of the Pic of the Week caption contest.

Need a free PDF reader?

Due to circumstances beyond my control Frances & Friends did not launch this morning.

It is in the wings ready and waiting. Unfortunately, because of last minute bugs in the site ClickWheel was unable to finish my page yesterday. I have been told that they are doing what they can to still launch the cartoon at some point later today.

I will make another post later today when that happens.
