My image upload seams to be busted this morning. The Monday sketch is done and waiting for you to see, I just can’t seem to get it to you. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. When it is I will take down this lame excuse and replace it with something you might actually want to see.

This week for the PotW we have another submission from the American Brittany Rescue, Jack. I just thought this was a perfect picture for the first weekend of Spring.

So, as I said yesterday, here is a little sample of my new project Winston (short for Winston Millicent Delano). I am limited on what I can show you because I only have so many done that are not in line to possibly be included a future issue of iNKED.

He is a … precocious … little man.

Plans for this property are currently up in the air. What is currently in the works is upping my involvement in iNKED by increasing the number of Winston panels per issue. I am also hoping to turn out some Winston books but we’ll see how it goes.

It’s the first day of spring. See, I drew a flower. How cliché. Does it help any that I didn’t realize it was the first day of spring until someone else pointed it out AFTER seeing the sketch?

Yeah, I didn’t think so.

I’m off tomorrow, so probably no sketch. What I may do, however, is give you an intro to Winston. Give you a little idea about the character’s character.

In the meantime, we are doing much better on the amount of captions for this week’s Pic of the Week but I want more. (Remember, I’m greedy.) So be sure to head on over and leave Maggie some more great captions.

Well this snuck up on me: The new iNKED anthology over at ClickWheel launched today!

My new one-panel cartoon Winston is going to be a monthly quarterly feature in the publication. iNKED features some of the hottest independent talent in comics today all in one download. That includes me!

Anyway, the sketch is actually kind of superfluous to the cool part of today’s post. Desktops! Last night I created 2 desktops based on the first Frances and Friends cartoon. In the future I may use this kind of thing as a tip jar/donation incentive but for now… free for all. Check ‘em out. What do you think? Would you be interested in more? I think I’ll call him… Lester.

No particular reason, just though he needed a name. I really seem to be touching on a lot of my influences in my sketches this month (minus last week’s fretting of course). I’d say this one is a cross between Henson and Sid & Marty Kroft.

Although the big furry eyebrows are all Prindiville. I’m starting to think that may be a “trademark” of my “style”. Never really given that much thought before.
