My Poor Wife

pillow

First off, thanks to everyone for the feedback yesterday. Now on to today, more specifically this morning… I am an early bird. I wake up at 5:00 during the week and usually by 7:30 on the weekends. During the week it is my choice, weekends it is the four-legged furry wonder’s. My wife, she’s not quite as much of a fan of pre natural light hours so during the week I try to be as considerate as possible while I’m getting ready for work. Lights on only in the bathroom and closet. Try very hard to be quiet…

Frances is not nearly as accommodating.

As far as I know she stays quite while I go through my bathroom routine but as soon as I sneak back into the room to get dressed she stats Talking. (Yes, capital “T”.) “Daddy, I’m hungry.” “Aren’t you ready yet?” “Where’s my tummy rub?” and so on, and so on…

No, the wife hasn’t thrown a pillow at her yet but I gotta tell you, I’m waiting for the day.

Wascally Wabbit

rabbit

Today we’re taking a look at my first attempt at drawing a rabbit that will fit into the Frances & Friends universe. Yesterday I had to go and thumbnail out a story that included two new costars for the episode. One is a creature I have drawn before but never for F&F or Bassetville, the other, being the rabbit.

I have never really been happy with my take on fuzzy bunny creatures. So starting over from scratch is a good thing. I’m pretty happy with how it went this time but I think I need to spend a little more time on the footal region.

Yes, I said footal.

Etiquette

Moron

Have you ever done something that you absolutely despise? I have. Did it yesterday actually.

I read a post over at the Daily Cartoonist about 5 web strips to drop your paper for. One of the strips was PvP, a genuinely funny strip that if you’ve heard of me I’m sure you’ve heard of it. I found in the article what I thought was a funny correlation between the article, the strips and my life.

I used to read PvP and stopped (for some reason, I think it was because it didn’t update at a regular time and I’m highly scheduled). Anyway, since then I have actually started reading the paper on my way to work during the week. For whatever reason I decided to point this funny little irony out in the comments. Wish, I hadn’t because “Funny, I stopped reading PvP and started reading the paper.” looks like nothing more than a troll-ish comment. (Add to that I only signed Bryan and the rules of the site clearly say First and LAST names.)

So sure, I apologized. I’ll man up. That doesn’t stop me from feeling like a tool.

Heck, I’ve even got a signed Skull plush sitting next to my computer at home. Sheesh.

UPDATE: I took Maureen’s suggestion, e-mailed Scott and I’ve been told, “Don’t every worry about it for a second.” I shall now do just that.

Gladly Americanators

Titan

American Gladiators… yeah, I watched it when I was a kid. LOVED IT! I always thought it was like wrestling but with cooler rings where the jobbers occasionally got to win.

How apropos that Hulk Hogan is one of the new co-hosts.

Now to be fair, I didn’t watch the whole thing, just snip-its here and there (my wife and I were giving much love to Comedy Central all weekend). I have to say though, it is appropriate that I remember the old show with wrestling because I like both institutions the same way now. With the sound off.

That said I may tune in as a guilty pleasure here and there but this isn’t a have to see for me. Anyway, I have way too much work to do before March.
