What do you mean, it’s not Monday? Sure as heck feels like it to me.

Good news though is I had a good (long) weekend. Got some work done on Saturday (the initial F&F cartoon is coming along nicely). Watched some football on Sunday (I cheered for the Giants, who knew). Watched some hockey on Monday (ugh).

Now, I need to go find some coffee.
I may not even brew it, just stick it under my lower lip.

Cloverfield comes out today. I’ve done a pretty decent job of avoiding spoilers thus far. I’ve only read the first part of any review to get just the overall reaction to the movie while avoiding any detail.

The Wife asked me last night if I wanted to go see it today… I never did answer. Now that I know it is playing at both theaters in our general vicinity I think that answer may have to be yes. (One theater is nicer but draws the talking, texting, cellphoning, didn’t your mother teach you any manners crowd while the other is generally less attended but older, dirtier and no stadium seating.)

Decisions, decisions.

Someone said something about wanting me to bring back the Pic of the Week right?

Well I just talked to my editor yesterday and it turns out I will be able to bring it back at the new site. The final delivery will be different (a monthly payoff instead of weekly) and we need to figure out where and how it will all happen BUT the Pic of the Week and Caption Contest shall return.

Here’s what I need from you:

First, more pictures. I have switched computers since I last did the pic of the week and I no longer have any that were sent back in the Bassetville days. For now send your pictures to my old bassetville address, potw@bryanprindiville.com.

Second, let you friends know we’re back. The more people submitting captions and pictures the more fun this is for everyone.

I will start running the Pic of the Week contest on February 3rd for use in the initial March 4th Frances & Friends episode. Start sendin’ ‘em in.

On Friday The Wife and I went to see El Orfanato. What an amazing movie. If you like suspenseful horror movies (as opposed to torture porn) and don’t mind reading this is the movie for you.

I also recommend going to see it in a theater usually frequented by teenage girls. If you can get past the constant bickering, annoying texting and unusually loud canoodaling (with one or the other’s current fling) the ear piercing scream they let out at the appropriate moment really brings something to the movie going experience.

I’ve been at work for 2 hours and our computer servers are finally up so I need to get to work. Oddly enough this morning is reminiscent of how my Saturday started. Just replace “computer servers” with “12-year old Civic”.

Happy Friday my lovelies. I am in a GREAT mood. Got a lot of work done on the new series last night. Well when I say a lot I mean I reinvented the wheel. Got my hands on a new program recently that makes all the hoops I’ve been jumping through to turn the new work into animatics obsolete.

What, you mean I haven’t mentioned that these new cartoons are going be animated.

Oh yeah…

Now you know why I’m smiling.
