I used to have a basset, and regardless of breed, I can relate to Bryan as a dog owner. I didn't find the strip until closer to its end, so I initially found the distinction between imaginary and real friends a little difficult to follow. I do love them all, though, especially now that I've gone back and read the beginning strips. I loved Bassettville.
