4×4: Waiting

Wanted to try something in a slightly different style today. Here you have a self-portrait of me waiting for the train. This is what I do every afternoon. So if you see this man sitting patiently at the Charles Center Metro stop don’t throw pennies at him. Its me and I’m just trying to read.

On second thought, throw the pennies.

4×4: ?

How do I possibly explain this drawing? From the looks of it the drawing is having the same conundrum (ooo, big word). Sometimes an explanation is just not possible.

This useless post has been brought to you by the punctuation “?”.

4×4: The Rider

So, for my day off yesterday I decided to go check out the new Ghost Rider movie starring Nic Cage. I didn’t hate it but I am glad I saw a matinee.

My biggest issue was how Cage decided to portray Johnny Blaze. Nicolas Cage’s obsession with the King was blaringly annoying during the whole movie. Johnny Blaze is NOT Elvis Presley. I found myself wishing the movie has actually centered around the young actor they had for Blaze in his teens.

But… it did give me a new 4×4.

4×4: Taxes

Here’s a little style switch for you (I told you anything would go). I decided to kind of mash together my editorial work and the 4x4s. Actually, I didn’t chose to it just kind of happened.

I decided to do my own taxes this year using a computer program. By the end of the process it all went smoothly but at the beginning… whoa boy. The stupid thing crashed on me three times. I think you can see my frustration.

I’m digging the Alt-Press feel of this one.

4×4: Roar

Looking at this one and I can see a whole lot of influences from my childhood in it. Can you see them? (hint: I’m 30)

This is the first time I’ve really taken the time to draw an open mouth, I’m pretty happy with it.
