4×4: The Rider
So, for my day off yesterday I decided to go check out the new Ghost Rider movie starring Nic Cage. I didn’t hate it but I am glad I saw a matinee.
My biggest issue was how Cage decided to portray Johnny Blaze. Nicolas Cage’s obsession with the King was blaringly annoying during the whole movie. Johnny Blaze is NOT Elvis Presley. I found myself wishing the movie has actually centered around the young actor they had for Blaze in his teens.
But… it did give me a new 4×4.

And how creepy is it that he married Elvis’ daughter? I wonder if she left him when he called out the wrong name in bed….?

I kept telling myself, how can you screw up a flamming motorcycle? It’s damn near impossible. Every time I really want to like a movie, I’m let down. I never wanted to become so jaded.

My sentiments exactly, B! All through the movie I was thinking, “Hey, this movie is pretty good… But WHY do they have NC playing Blaze when the young actor would have done just fine?!?!” Ahh, Hollywood, wasting the money where they don’t need to as usual.
